It's been 5 years since we started Homemade London and we've seen the business change and grow enormously. We initially started as a somewhat cosy craft workshop venue and sewing cafe, but we've seen ourselves develop into a creative events business hosting many wonderful parties and corporate workshops.

With a growing number of events taking place outside our base at 21 Seymour Place and with the end of our current lease period, we've decided to evolve into a pop-up crafts business continuing to offer workshops, parties and events but from various central London locations.

Our final workshops at 21 Seymour Place take place on Sunday 7 June and as a goodbye offer, if you book a place on either our Sewing, Candle-Making or Beginner's Screen-Printing workshops you can bring a friend for free!

We'll be adding our new workshops at our pop-up locations over the coming days, (although we have a lot to do with the move so please bear with us!).  We'll be offering our most popular craft workshops, including Perfume-Making and our Mystery Craft workshops. Unfortunately won't be able to offer our machine sewing workshops but we are working on brand new craft workshops which we will announcing shortly.

Gift vouchers are of course still valid for any of our workshops and if you'd like to extend your expiry date, please let us know and we'll be happy to offer you extra time to decide your course.

Thank you to everyone who has visited us at our workshop over the last 5 years, we've been astounded by how friendly, amazing and creative you've all been!

Lst week we helped Laura Ashley celebrate their new Christmas Range by decking our halls and preparing to get festive! The lovely team at Laura Ashley choose our space to hold a fabulous party and they really did an amazing job, Homemade looked so lovely we were sad to see it all go! The team transformed the venue into our very own Winter Wonderland, complete with a reindeer and a 6ft Christmas tree.  It was great to use Laura Ashley wallpaper and fabric in the craft activities and I think the bloggers had a great time getting creative with us.

Nancy, Martha and Faith all taught three Christmas themed crafts, Paper Cut Cards, Festive Floral  Crowns, and Stocking Decorating, which all went down very well. Just look at those glittery tables! Have a look at our workshop calendar where you will be able to see our Christmas workshops, we also have a very special Christmas Party planned too!

Last Thursday we held our 2014 press evening. We envited lots of wonderful lifestyle and craft bloggers and press who all had a great time enjoying our cocktails, mini food and our workshop previews.

To begin with we taught everyone how to make favorite phrase stationery and embossed greetings cards. Our expert perfume tutor Nicola taught aromatherpy based perfume blending and Nancy taught the group how to make pretty crepe paper flowers. The last craft of the evening was block printed cocktail napkins - perfect for all those Christmas parties coming up in a few months!

The cocktails went down so well, in fact we've recieved emails requesting the recipes so here they are!

With the wet and windy weather casting a dark shadow over the UK and my mood. It was lovely to be at Homemade London today as Spring arrived in all it’s glory at the latest Press Launch for Hobbycraft.

Pastel shades, pretty flowers and Easter treats filled the shop. As well as lots of craft demonstrations (chocolate making, pom poms, paper embossing, card making), materials, ideas and examples. It was an inspiring event which has made me feel ready to make some paper flowers this afternoon and research some new workshop ideas.

Kirstie Allsopp also popped in to promote her new range of Craft Kits which can be purchased online at and in stores.

Visit to see what other craft supplies and ideas are on offer.

If you want to hire our venue to hold an event visit our website for more information.
