If your new year's resolution is to be more creative or to learn new skills, the Homemade London craft club may be just what your looking for.

Starting next week, every Thursday night, we teach you a new skill and you'll go home with something you've made at the end of the evening.  Projects are designed to be super-easy and we'll be providing drinks and nibbles, so you'll get to craft in a beautiful and sociable setting.

We've deliberately kept prices low so you can afford to dip your toe into a new crafty project for the price of a night at a bar with some friends, except here - you'll get something to show for your efforts.

The schedule for the next few weeks looks like this:

19 January - Jewellery Making

26 January - Handstitched Notebooks

2 February - Printed Tote Bag

9 February - Valentine's Special

16 February - Upcycled Ceramics

23 February - Spa Style Beauty Masks

This January marks the start of our new interiors season at Homemade London.  Over coming weeks and months, we'll be teaching you how to make drum lampshades, bespoke hand stitched lampshades, one-of-a kind mirrors with designer Ruth Parker,  tailored curtains and cushions with Cocoon Home and upcycle ceramics at the Homemade London Craft Club.

And don't forget we offer  'bring a friend' discounts on the majority of our workshops.

We'll be open right up until 5.30pm on Friday 23 December for any last minute gift voucher purchases, but after that the Homemade London will be taking a well earned rest over Christmas and New Year.  We'll be open for some private parties, (some dates still available, contact us if you'd like to book yours) but we reopen again as usual from Tuesday 10 January for afternoon tea and perfume-making in the afternoon and lampshade-making in the evening.

I was lucky enough to spend an inspirational day on Friday at a masterclass held by one of the coolest interior designers around - Abigail Ahern. Even better still, it was held in her own home, so we got to soak in her design philosophy first hand.    I'm a big fan and love her use of colour, her reworking of vintage pieces and the way she plays with scale to create an exciting Alice in Wonderland feel in her home.

The day was jam-packed with tips, many of which sparked new ideas which we hope to share soon.
